SafePulse: A Memory-Safe Rust Architecture for Deterministic Real-Time ECG Alerting with Optional LLM Enrichment

Suyu Jiang, et al.

2026 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Health and Education (ICAIHE)

A memory-safe Rust architecture for real-time ECG monitoring. The design keeps the alert path deterministic, and it separates the optional LLM enrichment from that path. Each device gets one SessionActor, which bounds the shared mutable state. The LLM interpretation runs asynchronously, so it does not change the alert latency.

SAM-YOLO: An Improved Small Object Detection Model for Vehicle Detection

Suyu Jiang, et al.

The European Journal on Artificial Intelligence

SAM-YOLO improves the detection of small objects in vehicle images. It combines segmentation cues in the style of SAM with a YOLO detection backbone. The method addresses the trade-off between recall on small objects and inference cost.

International Workshop on Advanced AI Systems for Clinical Practice — Hotaru for Connected Healthcare

Suyu Jiang

AASCP 2026 · under ICAIHE 2026 (icaihe.org)

A speaker session about Hotaru, a multi-protocol networking framework. One application serves HTTP, MQTT, and other protocols at the same time. The session shows how Hotaru simplifies connected healthcare systems: medical devices, data aggregation pipelines, and clinical dashboards that communicate across different networks.

A Web Application Development Method and System for Unified Multi-Protocol Processing

一种多协议统一处理的 Web 应用开发方法及系统

Suyu Jiang

China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA)

An invention patent application for a Web application development method and system that processes several network protocols in one place. The document describes the architecture of the Hotaru framework. The endpoint definition stays in one place, the router serves several protocols, and the handler and the state layer stay separate.

A General-Purpose Network Service Framework System and Method with Unified Access Points and Decoupled Transport Layers

统一访问点与传输解耦的通用网络服务框架系统及方法

Suyu Jiang

China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA)

An invention patent application for a general-purpose network service framework with unified access points and decoupled transport layers. The design separates the service contract of the application from the transport protocol. One service definition therefore works across different transport mechanisms, and needs no second implementation.

Making Robot Programming Visible through Solvable Tasks and Classroom Practice

Suyu Jiang, et al.

ICWL–SETE 2026 — Joint Conference of the 25th International Conference on Web-Based Learning and the 11th International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Education

A browser platform lets a beginner program a simulated hair-cutting arm with blocks, inspect the cut, and revise the program. The early tasks used geometric targets and had no demonstrated solution. The revised generator runs a reference program and uses the result as the target, so every task has a known solution. Over a path of 2,134 waypoints, the tool-tip positions of the browser and the server agree to one part in a million. Two sessions of three hours with 30 students of mixed programming experience showed two problems: cutting instruction was missing, and the students met barriers to further practice. These findings produced a new cutting lesson and changes to practice and competition. The analysis covers 1,615 log records and 13 reconstructed rounds. None of the 21 adaptive sessions reached the precision that is necessary to link practice with competitive item calibration.
